About Industry Recovery and Resilience

Primary producers are faced with more frequent and more severe natural disasters, alongside the usual uncertainties of running a farm business. Natural disasters can substantially disrupt your farm operations and incur significant infrastructure repair costs, much of which are unable to be covered via insurance.

For primary producers located in the following Southern Queensland areas we offer free dedicated support to help prepare for the next natural disaster:

  • Maranoa
  • South Burnett
  • Southern Downs
  • Toowoomba
  • Western Downs.

Natural disasters are not a question of if, but when. With the right support, farm businesses can better prepare for (and recover from) floods, bushfire, cyclone, storms and severe weather.

Our dedicated team has grassroots experience across farming, business management and disaster response and can support you to:

  • assess the disaster risks facing your farm
  • identify what actions you can take to mitigate those risks, and
  • guide you with the development of a disaster preparedness plan

Getting your plans out of your head and onto paper gives you, your family and other business stakeholders clarity, fresh insights and direction. By assessing your risk and planning activities, you can help future-proof your business.
